Dr. Yu-Mei Wen graduated from Shanghai Medical college, and was WHO fellow at London School of Hygeiene and Tropical Medicine, and Fogarty fellow at NIH, USA. She is the founder of the Key Laboratory of Medical Molecular Virology, nominated by Chinese Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education. Currently, she is Professor and Director of Institute of Medical Microbiology, Fudan University, Shanghai, China. Her research interests are molecular virology and immunology of hepatitis B virus, and functional microbial genomics. She is one of the pioneers in research and development of therapeutic vaccine for viral hepatitis B. She has published 240 articles home and abroad.
