Anthony Fooks, Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency, UK
Dr Anthony Fooks leads the Viral Zoonoses and Vector-borne Diseases Research Group at the Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency. He is a director of a World Health Organisation Communicable Disease Surveillance and Response Collaborating Centre and an OIE Reference Expert for rabies. He has published >180 peer-reviewed manuscripts. His research interests focus on pathogens at the veterinary / human interface with particular attention to the evolution / epidemiology, infection dynamics and host immunity of zoonotic RNA viruses. He is a visiting Professor in the Department of Veterinary Pathology, National Consortium for Zoonoses Research at the University of Liverpool in the UK.
